Well one of the main benefits is that building regulations approvals will be drastically shortened in the time from submission to approval. This has huge benefits for the client. A quicker decision means an earlier start date for your builders.
I now have a nominated Building Control Officer for every project I submit, regardless of County which is extremely useful living on the border of Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. I deal with the same person for every Building Regulations submission, so I get a consistent interpretation of the Building Regulations on projects regardless of area.
This is very good news for my clients and myself, it will mean a much smoother, faster and consistent Building Regulations experience.
